pleurotus eryngii

Encased in a tall glass dome on a cork pedestal, this bronze Pleurotus eryngii evokes a Victorian curiosity from a natural history cabinet, transforming the familiar king oyster into an intimate, eternal artifact under soft, diffused light. The life-size sculpture commands quiet attention with its dramatic asymmetry blending mycological precision and foundry craft into a sense of preserved rarity. Its dark patina and subtle iridescence create a contemplative mood, immortalizing a resilient, culinary fungus as a timeless relic of resilience and beauty.
