old fellow

This bronze sculpture depicts a solitary woodland mushroom with a tall, rugged stem supporting an irregular, open cap with deeply incised gills and traces of bluish-green patina. The rough, textural modelling around the stem base and cap margin suggests decaying organic matter and veil remnants, giving the piece a distinctly organic, found-specimen character. Every sculpture is unique and limited to one piece.
